It’s hard to sum up a lifetime of memories…speedboat trips, walks to the creek, tadpole hunting, picking runner beans and visiting you on your narrow boat to name but a few. You were fun loving and did things on your own terms; your legacy of “go big or go home” will live on in us all. Rest in peace Uncle Ian.

I hope we all did you proud yesterday from the lovely meaning words that were said about you to the music choice we know you would have loved . You will be truly missed but everything we do now we will have your saying in our head , ‘ go big or go home ‘ I’m sorry you felt there wasn’t anything or anyone could say to keep you with us all. 💔 But now we take the comfort your at peace and back again with Nan and Grandad . 💕 I know you’ll be looking down on us with a builder’s cuppa and enjoying life at peace.
Rest easy Uncle Ian, untill we meet again . 💙

Tonight I will raise a tot to my old shipmate Shrimps! And I will remember the laughs we had as baby sailors, whilst on board the nuclear submarine HMS Torbay, once a submariner always a submariner! RIP brother
